How far in advance should we book a planner?

For full planning, 9–12 months out gives us the most room to protect your budget and secure the vendors you love. Partial planning works well 4–8 months out, and month/day-of coordination is best booked at least 6–8 weeks before the wedding. That said, we take on shorter timelines all the time, reach out and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic.

What happens during the consultation?

It's a relaxed conversation, about 30–45 minutes. We talk through your date, guest count, location, budget, and the parts of planning that feel heaviest right now. You'll leave with a recommended package and a custom quote. There is no charge and no obligation to book.

Which package is right for us?

Accepted Answer

If you're starting from a blank page, choose Full Planning. If you've booked a venue and a few vendors but the details are piling up, choose Partial Planning. If you've planned everything yourself and just need someone to run the day, choose Month/Day-Of Coordination. Not sure? Book a consultation and we'll point you to the smallest package that actually covers you.

Do you work with couples who already have a venue?

Absolutely. Many of our couples come to us with a venue and a date already locked in. We build the rest of the plan around what you've chosen and make sure every vendor and timeline detail lines up.

What do your packages cost?

Accepted Answer

Full Wedding Planning is $400, Partial Wedding Planning is $250, Month/Day-Of Coordination is $150, Elopement and Intimate Coordination is $100, and à la carte services are $50 per service selected. Flat rates, not a percentage of your budget.

How are you able to charge so much less than other planners?

Accepted Answer

We price flat instead of taking a percentage of your wedding budget, and we keep our overhead low on purpose. Our goal is for the money you've saved to go into your day, your food, your photos, your people, not into our fee.

Do you charge a percentage of our wedding budget?

Accepted Answer

Never. Your package price is the same whether your budget is $5,000 or $50,000. You'll never be penalized for spending more on your celebration.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We can split your package into installments leading up to your date. Bring it up at your consultation and we'll build a schedule that works for you.

Do you take a commission from vendors?

Accepted Answer

No. We recommend vendors because they're the right fit for your budget and your style, never because of a kickback. Every quote you see is the vendor's own price.

Can we still choose our own vendors?

Accepted Answer

Of course. We'll happily work with anyone you've already booked or fallen in love with. Where you'd like help, we'll bring you vetted options at a few price points and handle the outreach and contract review.

How many weddings do you take on at once?

We keep our calendar intentionally limited so no couple is competing for attention in the final month. If your date is full, we'll tell you rather than overbook.

Will both owners be at our wedding or event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both Janyia and Alana are on-site at every wedding and event we book. Janyia leads planning and day-of execution, and Alana leads design, so you get both sets of eyes and hands on your celebration.

Do you plan events that aren't weddings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, birthdays, baby showers, reunions, family gatherings, and holiday events. Choose "Other event" when you book a consultation and we'll tailor the conversation to your celebration.

Can you set up on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day?

Accepted Answer

Holiday events exclude on-site Christmas and Thanksgiving day-of setup. Setup for those celebrations is completed the night before so our team can be home with their families too.

It's our nonprofit effort sending care packages to deployed service members, 243 boxes sent to date. Janyia is a military spouse, and the idea grew out of that experience. You can read more and contribute on the Sponsor a Soldier page.

After your consultation we send your custom package. Your date is held once the agreement is signed and your first payment is received.

Yes, your confirmation email includes a private link to reschedule or cancel at any time, no phone call required.

Life happens. Tell us as soon as you know and we'll move your package to the new date at no extra charge as long as we're available.
